Teresa Gielczynski, MSW, LCSW, ICDVP

Teresa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of clinical experience in different areas of mental health. Over the last decade, she worked with individuals, couples and families addressing relational and behavioral problems as well as mental health disorders.

Teresa provides a nurturing environment and effective forms of treatment which allow patients to face their challenges, heal from past trauma and address their concerns.  Living in our modern society, exposed to high stress and faced with high expectations often leads to anxiety or depression. Therapy provides not only support and outlet, but also helps to gain skills and develop strategies to manage anxiety and mood disorders.

Teresa has extensive knowledge and training,  which allows her to address issues related to past trauma including, but not limited to family violence, sexual assault, bullying, discrimination and medical trauma. She works with individuals, facilitates support groups, and provides training and education in the areas of family violence, teen dating, parenting, child development, life transitions, mental health and much more.

Being bilingual and bicultural in Polish and English herself, she also specializes in assisting those new to American culture and the issues that are common to this experience such as discrimination, grief and loss, new self-identity and much more
